We're now down to the worst five draft choices in Indianapolis Colts history. This is the bottom of the barrel, folks. In most cases, these picks severely damaged our franchise's ability to consistently win football games. These are the back-breaker picks; the ones the make you shake your head and wonder 'What if?'

We start off the bottom five with yet another busted defensive back from the Jim Irsay era of personnel management: Don Anderson.

Colts Draft Bust No. 5: And Purdue Pete Wept For Don Anderson

Just because a kid is local doesn't mean he's 'good.' Don Anderson played his college ball at Purdue. He had 11 career interceptions in West Lafayette, which is a record he shares with his Hall of Fame teammate at the time, Rod Woodson.

Little is known or remembered about Anderson's professional career, which isn't a good thing when you consider he was the 32nd overall pick in the 1985 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts.

What makes the pick even more stupendously awful is the fact that Anderson played only one season for Indianapolis. That's right! A high second round pick (for back then) like Anderson played only one season before the team cut him. He saw action in five games, none as a starter. He picked off one pass and created one fumble.

After he was cut following the '85 season, he landed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He lasted one season there before he was out of football. Two seasons, one pick, one forced fumble, one fumble recovered. Yep, that's a pretty colossal draft bust, one of many from the time when Jim Irsay made the decision on draft day.

No. 6 Draft Bust: Eric Mahlum

No. 7 Draft Bust: Quinn Pitcock

No. 8 Draft Bust: Leonard Coleman

No. 9 Draft Bust: Quentin Coryatt

No. 10 Draft Bust: Steve Emtman
