NFL Lockout: Possible NFL Labor Deal Framework In Two Weeks

Best news I've heard in months, via Dan Kaplan:

Told optimism is so high in NFL, players talks over labor deal that expectation is for a framework agreement in about two weeks

A framework agreement would allow the lawyers to step back in and negotiate the details, check the fine print, etc. Once that is done, we get signatures and football returns just in time for training camps to open.

A framework deal puts us at around June 25th, and after all the details are ironed out, we might have a new CBA by July 4th, which was when Colts owner Jim Irsay said a deal had to get done.

Kaplan's sources mesh with the stuff Mike Florio is hearing. The owners and players had positive talks all last week, and once again the lawyers were told to stay at home.

This is very positive news. Hopefully, Kaplan's sources turn out to be right.
