2012 NFL Winning Stats Predictor: Game Picks Week 8

A few more lopsided games this week after a pretty even Week 7. Which picks should you assuredly pick against this week? Find out here with the Winning Stats Predictor picks.

Jonathan Daniel

Last week the Predictor had eight of the 13 NFL games where the predicted winner had less than 55% chance of winning, so it was mostly toss-ups, which led to a 7-6 Straight Up record (2-6 in those eight games), and taking our season record to 58-46. It also led to a 6-7 record Against the Spread, which raises that record to 45-56-3. Still waiting for that breakout week.

This week we have only five games under 55% win probability, and we have a huge mismatch (I'm sure you know that one already though). Here are the Week 8 Picks:

Home Score Away Score Probability
Vikings 24 Buccaneers 26 54.5%
Bears 21 Panthers 16 64.2%
Browns 25 Chargers 20 62.4%
Lions 21 Seahawks 24 58.5%
Packers 30 Jaguars 13 86.8%
Titans 29 Colts 27 54.6%
Rams 30 Patriots 31 53.7%
Jets 19 Dolphins 17 53.3%
Eagles 25 Falcons 19 65.7%
Steelers 30 Redskins 26 60.3%
Chiefs 18 Raiders 23 63.2%
Cowboys 23 Giants 30 67.2%
Broncos 29 Saints 28 53.3%
Cardinals 12 49ers 20 69.2%

My SuperContest picks were a brutal 1-4, and the "1" was a back-door cover with under a minute to play in the game. Season record is now 13-20-2. I hope anyone who was thinking about dropping $1500 on this sees just how hard it is to do. Picks for Week 8:

  • Buccaneers +6.5 at Vikings
  • Browns +2.5 vs. Chargers
  • Raiders +2 at Chiefs
  • Eagles -2.5 vs. Falcons
  • Saints +6 at Broncos
