For about the last two months or so, the Winning Stats have been pretty consistent at the top of the rankings, despite what all the talking heads like to say. It has consistently had the 49ers at #1 overall, which it does again this week, but I think now people are finally starting to come around to that fact after their demolition of the best Defense in the NFL, the Bears, all with a backup Quarterback. It's impressive to do what they did Monday night to any Defense, but to do it to the one that was far and away better than anyone else? There's a reason they're #1.
Right behind the 49ers sit Peyton Manning and the Broncos, who are absolutely rolling right now, and show no signs of letting up, as they still have the easiest schedule going forward in the NFL. Barring something unforeseen, they'll be 13-3 on the season, right where we all knew they'd be, right? It took a couple games to get everything together, but Manning with a Defense is a deadly combination.
The Colts dropped a few spots back to #26 overall, jumped up a spot to #9 on Offense, and are now dead last on Defense. Can only go up from here, right?
