The rivalry is, apparently, still alive.
After both the Colts and the Patriots have started the 2012 season 5-3 (a fact that has me giggling with high-pitched glee!), the NFL has decided that Indy's 1:00 PM ET start time for their Week 11 showdown with New England needed adjustment.
Colts at Patriots will now be played at 4:25 PM ET on CBS, per the NFL's flex scheduling policy.
I'm sure some of you are wondering why the game wasn't flexed to Sunday night. Simple: The Steelers are playing the Ravens. Regardless of how good the Colts or the Patriots are, Steelers v. Ravens is a key game. It makes sense to keep it at primetime.
The Week 11 contest at New England will test to see if the Patriots and their fans still hate the Colts in the post-Manning era. I can think of no better way to ensure that hatred is alive and well than having Andrew Luck walk into Gillette Stadium and shred the Pats' horrible secondary, currently ranked 28th in the league.
