Chuck Pagano Was Once Again At Colts Complex, Could Return To Coaching December 30th

It's very ambitious to think that Pagano could be back by then, but not out of the question.

Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE

Chuck Pagano's cancer is in remission, which is truly remarkable news. However, almost as remarkable is the Colts' expectations for when their head coach could return to his job on the sidelines. During his Monday press conference, interim coach Bruce Arians said:

First off, I just left Chuck... Chuck just stopped in. He's getting ready, they put a... I'm not sure the proper medical term, a stint, or something, to be able to start chemo. Again, his count was great. He's knows this next one is going to be really tough. We're praying and pulling that he's going to be fine. Once he comes back from round two, he'll have to have round three. Our goal is to have him back on the sidelines by December 30th.

The Colts December 30th game is against the Texans. It is the final game of the 2012 regular season.

It's very ambitious to think that Pagano could be back by then, but not out of the question. The Colts have gone 4-1 since Pagano took a leave of absence to undergo treatment for leukemia.

Today's news that Pagano was in the building is the second time coach has been back to the Colts complex. He was there last week and attended a Monday coaches meeting. He also attended Sunday's game, and gave an emotional post-game speech that might go down as one of the greatest all-time in terms of emotional impact.
