Just like the previous two years, I have been assigned to cover the 2012 NFL Draft from Radio City Music Hall in NYC from Thursday, April 26th to Saturday, April 28th. This including the primetime broadcasting of the first round, along with other related events that will put me in close proximity to people like Andrew Luck, Adam Schefter, and Commissioner Roger Goodell.
As we've always done, we'll cover the selections made by the Indianapolis Colts, adding in whatever relevant data we can find. We're talking scouting reports, opinions from college bloggers, YouTube clips, etc.
Also, because the Colts have effectively chosen their first round pick already, we'll be doping a lot of general coverage of the draft. This year figures to involve several trades. Schefter tweeted recently that teams selecting 3-16 are looking to move down. These trades will undoubtedly have an impact on the Colts as the teams involved could be key rivals (the Patriots) or division foes.
Finally, I'm booked to host 12 draft videos (four per night) that will recap the selections for each day. The videos are for SBN Studios, and we're doing one video per division, per day. We'll be posting the ones that discuss the AFC South here at Stampede Blue.
Look for Stew Blake and Eric Miller to be posting articles, open threads, and other goodies as well. Mr. Matt Grecco might pop in as well, but he is busy this week working for IndyCar down in Sao Paulo (yeah, rough life I know).
As always, thank you for your continued support of Stampede Blue and SB Nation. We look forward to you telling us our 2012 NFL Draft opinions suck.
P.S.- Go Colts
