FOX Sports' Jay Glazer is reporting that the Cleveland Browns have swung the first big trade of the evening, sending the No. 4 overall pick along with the got picks 118, 139, and 211 to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange of the No. 3 overall pick.
Why the move?
Well, the consensus in the press area at Radio City Music Hall is that the Browns were scared someone else would trade with the Vikings for the rights to Alabama runningback Trent Richardson. Someone like, say, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Glazer's sources tell him the Bucs had their eye on Richardson. Thus, the move up.
Glazer also reports that the Vikings may move down even further.
Initially, the thought here at Radio City was this move was to get Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill, but Glazer's report makes it clear the trade is for Richardson.
The pre-draft buzz in the media area was that there would be several trades this year. So far, that is exactly what will happen this evening.
