Colts Motto In 2012: "Build The Monster"

New coach. New team. New front office. New motto.

If the Colts were smart, they'd have Nike make these shirts and sell them at their online Pro Shop. Sounds a lot better than the stupid "Indy Knows" apparel Nike is pawning on people.

Yes, it's a silly motto and, at the end of the day, it means very little. However, unlike previous years, where the tired, dull, meaningless "take care of the little things" talk was about as inspiring as a dry oatmeal, this new stuff gets the blood pumping a little bit.

It's new. It's fresh. It's exciting. I like it.

Now, mind you, "Build The Monster" is a pretty obvious declaration that the Colts are in full rebuilding mode (because, you know, they are). This might irk people like Robert Mathis, but the reality is this team is no longer playoff caliber, let alone championship caliber.

However, I don't think it is a stretch to say the Colts are trending, as a team, in the right direction. Prior to this year, the team was trending down, kept afloat by one amazing player. Thus, for me, because the team is trending up, I have much more enthusiasm and excitement for the Indianapolis Colts than I've had in quite some time.
