As pretty much everyone knows, Andrew Luck practiced with the Indianapolis Colts for the first time in his young career today. Big surprise here, I know, but from the sound of it, he was very impressive.
According to Phil Richards (@PhilRichards6), Luck's wide receiver Austin Collie said of Luck, "Andrew's got it. You can tell he's on his stuff, just the way he's pointing out his hots and stuff."
Right from the start, Luck was in command of the Colts' offense.
Tight end Coby Fleener noticed it too:
Coby Fleener said that this morning, at his first walkthrough with the vets, Andrew Luck surprised some by making adjustments at the line.

It is only one practice, and only a walk through at that. But Luck impressed people. Not just his physical ability, but his leadership and poise as well. That is what I was very interested in seeing - how Andrew Luck would take over the number one quarterback job. I was not sure if he would be hesitant or if he would step right in and assume leadership. It seems to be the latter.
That is not to say his physical skills were lacking, however. Per George Bremer on Luck's morning practice:
Though the defense was running about half-speed, Luck completed 15 of his 16 pass attempts during 11-on-11 work.

Tom James has the update on the afternoon practice:
In the afternoon practice Tuesday, ALuck completed a combined 25-of-42 passes in 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 drills.

Luck very nearly had two interceptions in the afternoon practice, one by S TZbikowski and another by CB KThomas. Both were dropped.

Everyone is covering Andrew Luck's first day practicing with the Colts. Luck was brilliant today - his passing, his leadership of the offense, the way he dealt with the media afterwards - it was all great.
One day. Yes, it has only been one day (and that was against the Colts' defense, as well), but Andrew Luck impressed people today. This is probably making too much of it, but then again I am an obsessed Colts fan, so I am excited for minicamp. I guess I am crazy like that. But you don't have to be crazy to understand what Austin Collie said: "Andrew's got it".
