On Sunday night, the new face of the franchise will finally take the field, donning the blue and white and all of the expectations that come with it. Yeah, it's preseason, but according to Bruce Arians, we're going to get a pretty good look at Mr. Andrew Luck. And we're likely talking a 20-25 snaps kind of good look. The sell out isn't a huge deal, but it's certainly refreshing to see the new, youthful Colts being embraced, even if the tickets are just for an overly expensive practice. As you probably recall, the Colts faced some ticket selling issues after the departure of Peyton Manning practically the entire team and front office.
Well, that's one down, and nine to go.
If you're an out-of-towner, like me, you can catch the game via NFL Network and we strongly recommend that you do. The preseason may be a bit of a bore, but this year, Colts fans (We've been spoiled!) are going to be venturing into fairly unfamiliar territory. And as a result, the preseason has arguably never been more important for our team.
I know that I'm incredibly excited to see our new receiving corps in action, along with a taste of the direction of Chuck Pagano and Greg Manusky's new defense.
Football is back and it's time to unleash the Colts young, inexperienced, exciting, and rejuvenated monster, friends.
Go Colts!
