It was a rough week for the Winning Stats Predictor, going just 5-9 Against the Spread, bringing the season total down to 38-36-3, dangerously close to .500, an area I'd really like to avoid going under. As far as picking winners it wasn't much better, going just 7-7, bringing that season total to 48-29. Still looking OK, just don't like the bad week.
After this week I'll be phasing out last season and exclusively using data from 2013. I toyed with doing it this week, but I think it's still too early, even though I think the team rankings are looking a lot closer to where my eyes see things. I did notice of the 15 games this weekend, only the first (the Bears) and the last (Colts) are picked to cover as the favorite. We'll see how it goes (as I'm writing this, it's 27-14 Bears, so a good chance they cover. You'll know when you're reading this).
Here are the picks for Week 6:
As far as the Super Contest goes, it was a bad 1-4 week, my first one of the year. Season total 13-12.
- Bills +7 vs. Bengals
- Ravens +2.5 vs. Packers
- Titans +13.5 at Seahawks
- Saints +2.5 at Patriots
- Colts -1.5 at Chargers
