I wish I could give you some sort of tagline that reads "sources tell Stampede Blue that LaRon Landry is visiting the Colts today," but in this case I don't have to do that. The former Jets safety is visiting the Colts today, per the team's own Twitter handle. In fact, they actually tweeted a picture of Landry walking into the building:

With Tom Zbikowski fizzling out, the Colts have a hole at the strong safety position. Landry is 6'0, 220 lbs, and built like a rhino. He started 15 games for the Jets in 2012, earning 76 tackles, two picks (with one for a touchdown) and four forced fumbles.
Prior to signing with the Jets, he was drafted by Washington and spent five seasons there. His 2012 season with New York was one of his best, statistically.
The Colts interest in Landry is interesting given some news we got from a source. Apparently, Colts defensive coordinator Greg Manusky attended the Florida Pro Day the other day, and he spent a good deal of time watching the safeties.
Hey! I guess we did get to write a "source tells Stampede Blue" line! My day is now complete.
