As we've done for the last seven years (SEVEN!!!), all 32 of SB Nation's football writers will submit the picks for their respective teams in the SB Nation Football Writers Mock Draft. The two-round collective mock has already begun, and SB Nation's draft guru Dan Kadar is busy assessing and reassessing each writer's picks.
Last year, I got to make the No. 1 overall and No. 34 overall selections, picking Andrew Luck and Coby Fleener, respectively. As it turns out, that's how the real draft played for the Colts.
Me iz teh smartist blogger everz.
The Colts pick at the No. 24 spot this year. They have no second round pick, sent to Miami last season in exchange for Vontae Davis. As I did last year, I'll be soliciting feedback, ideas, and suggestions from all you crazy kids out there. For my mind, the two biggest needs are pass rusher and wide receiver. However, if nose tackle Jesse Williams from Alabama is still sitting there at No. 24, it will be very hard to pass on him. Same could be said of several corners who might be available late in the first round.
Players I'm considering:
- WR DeAndre Hopkins, Clemson
- DE Datone Jones, UCLA
- NT Jesse Williams, Alabama
- WR Keenan Allen, California
- CB Desmond Trufant, Washington
- OLB Damonte Moore, Texas A&M
Anymore I should be thinking of? Toss ideas in the comments.
