If the Colts intend to sign free agent wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey, it seems they better do so today. Per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Heyward-Bey is scheduled to meet with the Lions on Wednesday.
As is sometimes the case when it comes to free agency, if a player leaves a city he's visiting, chances are he will sign somewhere else.
As our own Nick Ragsdale reported last night, via Twitter, that during a conference call with season ticket holders, Colts general manager Ryan Grigson seemed confident that Indy would be able to ink Heyward-Bey soon.
For those asking... Yes, it seems as though DHB will be suiting up for tge #Colts this season. Grigson seemed to elude to it.

The issue with Heyward-Bey might be the length of his contract. Free agents still looking for teams now are generally offered one-year deals. However, Detroit is much more desperate at the WR position than Indianapolis is right now. They might be willing to overpay for Heyward-Bey's services.
