2013 NFL Mock Draft: The Colts, Damontre Moore, And Smoke Screens

While teams put up smoke screens to trick others, SB Nation's Dan Kadar ignores the rhetoric and dives straight into the brick wall that is his first April 2013 mock draft.

It's Monday, and that means Dan Kadar is most likely hungover and in the process of mixing amphetamines into his early-afternoon Bloody Mary while fending off angry NFL fans as they insult him for his latest mock draft. Today, on this first day of April, Dan mocks Texas A&M linebacker Damontre Moore to the Colts at No. 24:

24. Indianapolis Colts
Damontre Moore, Texas A&M
DE/OLB 6'4 1/2
250 Jr.

The signing of underrated cornerback Greg Toler frees the Colts up to go after a front seven player on defense. Whether it's Moore, Jesse Williams or Datone Jones, the Colts should be able to find a starter in the first round. Moore just happens to be the best front seven player available at this point.

Dan passes up Alabama's Eddie Lacey, Cal's Keenan Allen, and UCLA's Datone Jones. Clemson's DeAndre Hopkins was taken at No. 22 by the Rams.

Speaking of the Rams, their team blogger at Turf Show Times has made his selection in the 2013 SB Nation Writes Mock Draft, and at No. 22 he chose safety Jonathan Cyprien from Florida international, the same school attended by Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton. The Colts No. 24 selection will be announced later this afternoon.
