2013 NFL Draft Prospects: Colts Host USC WR Robert Woods

The 6'1, 201 lb. Woods is yet another late-first, early-second round prospect the Colts are showing interest in.

Ryan Grigson and his front office team continue to do their due diligence when it comes to scouting and gathering information on NFL draft prospects. Per Mike Chappell, the Colts hosted USC wide receiver Robert Woods recently.

Woods is the fourth wide receiver that the Colts have hosted and (presumably) conducted a private workout with. Other receivers include Tyrone Goard of Eastern Kentucky, Quinton Patton of LA Tech, and Aaron Mellette of Elon. You could also count Cal wideout Keenan Allen in that mix as well. Though we have received no report that Allen visited Indy and worked out, the Colts sent a large contingent to his Pro Day, including WR coach Charlie Williams who all but put Allen through a individual workout.

Players like Allen, Patton, and Woods are considered late-first or early-second round options. Basically, if the Colts are looking to trade back, these are the guys who will likely be available for them.

In three years at USC, woods caught 196 balls for 2,257 yards and 25 touchdowns. He's 6'1, 201 lb. and ran a 4.51 40 at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine.

Sam Farmer of the L.A. Times has a nice write-up on Woods here.
