The Indianapolis Colts finally addressed their lack of quality depth at the running back position by selecting Utah State's Kerwynn Williams with the 230th pick in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

The 5'8, 195 lb. Williams seems slight, but aside from running the ball he is also a kick returner. Speed is Williams' game. He ran a 4.48 40-yard dash at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine.

SB Nation's Matthew Fairburn offered these thoughts after the Colts selected Williams:

"Not very big. Not particularly explosive. Good receiver, and he builds up his speed well. Pretty good between the tackles."

Running back was another need that Colts G.M. Ryan Grigson can cross off the draft list. Williams might not be the guy who can lead the league in rushing, but he provides depth at the position as well as special teams ability.

He ran for 1,512 yards and scored 15 rushing touchdowns last year for Utah State. He also caught 45 passes for 697 yards and 5 touchdowns. He ran for 215 yards and three touchdowns against Toledo in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Gonna go out on a limb and say Williams was a tad productive for Utah State last year.
