As some of you readers have noted, we haven't written a whole helluva lot about which university pro days the Colts and their scouts have visited.
Apologies. We suck.
Granted, we have been running around a little bit of late, chasing free agent signing news, "wopper" rumors, and anything else related. In the eight years I've written for this blog, this was the busiest March I've ever been a part of. We even set a traffic record for the month with over 1.2 million views. Yay us!
So, to make up for some lost time that is normally dedicated to tracking which college pro days the Colts are scoping out, we have compiled these three updates, two of which come from writers at ColtsAuthority.com (a blog that hates me for reasons I still do not fully understand, but whose work I often read regardless):
Here's a video of Harding OLB/DE Ty Powell being worked out at his Pro Day by #Colts LB coach, Jeff Fitzgerald youtube.com/watch?v=JmzKXn…

Colts DB staff were at Miami's Pro Day? Brandon McGee possibly on their radar as a late round CB?

At BYU Pro Day Are Scouts From Colts, Bills, Steelers, Bears And #Raiders Among Others

Good job by Brent finding that video of Coach Fitzgerald working with Ty Powell. Powell had 8.5 sacks and blocked four kicks last season for the Division II Bison. He's 6'2, 250 lb.
It seems logical to assume that if Colts scouts were at the BYU Pro Day - and there's no reason to doubt Skyler Beltran's report that they were - then they were likely there to get a closer look at Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah, the 6'5, 271 lb. DE-OLB who is viewed as one of the top pass rushing prospects in the upcoming draft. He had 4.5 sacks and 13 tackles for a loss at BYU last season.
McGee had the sixth-fastest 40 time (4.40) at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine, and being from The U he's certain to have Chuck Pagano's attention.
