After being arrested over the weekend in Washington, DC, Colts third-year safety Joe Lefeged has been released without bond. He spent three days in jail. As he left, Lefeged made some interesting public statements, per WJLA-TV, via PFT:

While leaving the detention center, he told ABC7's Jennifer Donelan that he's sorry and that the case is drummed up.

Lefeged was arrested early Saturday after he and two other men allegedly fled the scene of a routine traffic stop. Inside the car Lefeged and others were traveling in, police found a loaded pistol, an open bottle of vodka, and a "the strong odor of marijuana," per reporter John Gonzalez of ABC 7 News.

The driver of the car Lefeged was in is reportedly still at large.

The NFL has not issued any statement or imposed any punishment on Lefeged, yet. The Colts have issued a statement since the arrest, saying:

We are aware of the reports regarding Joe Lefeged in Washington, D.C. At this time, we will have no further comment on the pending matter until we gain more information.

Lefeged has been charged with carrying a licensed pistol outside of his home.
