The day after the third preseason game for most NFL teams often results in roster cuts, and the Indianapolis Colts are no exception.
From Kevin Bowen at Colts.com:
The Colts have waived Johnny Adams, Allen Chapman, Danous Estenor, Kellen Heard, Brandon McManus, Davin Meggett, C.O. Prime, Rick Schmeig...

...Ashante Williams, Maurice Williams, Teddy Williams. LB-Lawrence Sidbury was placed on injured reserve.

That brings the Colts roster down to 78 players. Need to cut 3 more by Tuesday afternoon.

With Maurice Williams, we also know he was given an injury settlement and then released. Teddy Williams was placed on the waive-injured list.
Lawrence Sidbury was dealing with a shoulder injury that kept him out of the game Saturday night. He was signed this offseason as a free agent from the Atlanta Falcons, and was expected to make an impact for the Colts as a pass rusher. Sidbury struggled with the transition from defensive end to outside linebacker in preseason.
Sidbury's contract with Indianapolis was for one-year, $780,000, according to Spotrac.com.
The only real surprise cut is corner Allen Chapman, but that's because of how he looked in training camp. The play of Marshay Green Saturday night against the Browns likely solidified him as the team's 5th corner.
