2013 NFL Winning Stats Predictor: Game Picks Week 2

A rough Week 1 leaves hope that Week 2 can be better. What do the Winning Stats say this week?

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

Week 2 is upon us, and the Winning Stats had a rough go of it last week. Picking winners went just 7-9, including its most confident pick, the Redskins, laying an egg on Monday night. I'm guessing it'll need a few weeks to adjust to both the Redskins and the Eagles, who look a bit different from last year. The Predictor was actually a bit better picking Against the Spread, going 7-8-1.

Week 2 is off to a good start, as it had both the Patriots winning and the Jets covering the spread. The Saints appear to be the heaviest favorite this week, but they always seem to have problems winning in Tampa. The Colts and Dolphins appears to be a coin flip game, which the Colts have been very good at winning the last year-plus. There's also a fairly big looking upset on there with the Titans winning in Houston. If it happens, you heard it here first.

Here are the Week 2 picks:

Home Score Away Score Probability
Patriots 23 Jets 15 71.5%
Falcons 26 Rams 24 55.0%
Eagles 24 Chargers 24 51.8%
Chiefs 20 Cowboys 22 54.9%
Colts 24 Dolphins 23 51.9%
Texans 19 Titans 21 53.5%
Packers 29 Redskins 25 62.2%
Ravens 25 Browns 20 63.1%
Bills 22 Panthers 24 56.6%
Bears 24 Vikings 23 53.2%
Buccaneers 19 Saints 28 72.6%
Cardinals 18 Lions 22 60.9%
Raiders 24 Jaguars 18 64.8%
Giants 21 Broncos 27 66.1%
Seahawks 31 49ers 24 66.2%
Bengals 21 Steelers 16 64.0%

My Supercontest picks were 2-3 last week. I feel better this week than I did last, so I'm sure it'll mean a worse record...

  • Chargers +7.5 at Eagles
  • Titans +9 at Texans
  • Saints -3.5 at Bucs
  • Cardinals +1.5 vs. Lions
  • Seahawks -3 vs. 49ers
