While the injury news for starting offensive guard Donald Thomas was grim, the update on wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey's shoulder was much more uplifting.

Heyward-Bey injured his shoulder during the Colts' 24-20 Week Two loss to the Dolphins.
This is a big break for the Colts, a team that is perilously thin at the wide receiver position.
Reserve receiver LaVon Brazill is still serving a portion of his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. The active receivers on the roster outside of Heyward-Bey and veteran Reggie Wayne are second-year receivers T.Y. Hilton and Griff Whalen.
