San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker Aldon Smith was arrested Friday for suspicion of a D.U.I. His vehicle was reportedly involved in an accident near San Jose. He was also busted for marijuana possession.
Yet, as far as I know, Smith is still scheduled to suit up and play Sunday when the 49ers host the Colts.
Does this make any sense to you? It doesn't to me.
Smith breathalyzer test had him twice over the legal limit to drive. This is his SECOND arrest for driving under the influence since he came to the NFL in 2011.
Oh, and there's the weed thing. Yeah, LaVon Brazill is serving a four-game suspension for marijuana. He's not playing Sunday, but Aldon Smith apparently is.

Why is Smith playing?
Could it have to do with this being CBS's marquis game of the day on Sunday? Could it be that smith is the best player on the 49ers defense, outside of Patrick Willis?
I'm thinking yeah. Yeah, those are the reasons.
