Colts leading rusher Ahmad Bradshaw sat out of Wednesday's practice with a neck injury. Bradshaw seemed to injure his neck Sunday in Indianapolis' dominate 27-7 win over San Francisco, a game won in large part to Bradshaw's hard running in the fourth quarter.
It seems the plan for the Colts going forward is to have Bradshaw and newly acquired running back Trent Richardson to split carries. Bradshaw looks much more comfortable running behind Indy's o-line, averaging 4.5 yards-per-carry for the Colts thus far this year.
However, don't let Richardson's low yards-per-carry debut against the 49ers skew your perception of him. He played quite well. If Richardson needs to shoulder more of the load, he can.
