The health of left tackle Anthony Castonzo is a key story for the Indianapolis Colts heading into Week One of the 2013 NFL season. Castonzo sprained his MCL in the team's third preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. So far, he has not practiced this week, including on Wednesday.
However, Colts head coach Chuck Pagano told the media on Wednesday that Castonzo is still expected to start at left tackle against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Castonzo could practice on Thursday, and, if he has full participation, all signs would point to him playing Sunday.
Inside linebacker Kavell Conner also sat out Wednesday's practice, recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in the Colts' fourth preseason game.
Tight ends Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener both had full participation today in practice, as did linebacker Mario Harvey, running back Ahmad Bradshaw, safety Joe Lefeged, and human turnstile guard Mike McGlynn.
As it stands now, it seems the Colts will have a full stable of players on offense, including the before-mentioned Ahmad Bradshaw, who missed all of preseason recovering from offseason football surgery.
