It's halftime of the Colts vs. Bengals game, and Indianapolis has a 10-0 lead at home. Despite the ten-point lead, there's no way around the fact that if should be much greater. The Colts completely dominated the first half, especially on the defensive side of the ball. To open the game, the Bengals had EIGHT straight three and outs, a streak broken only on Cincy's final drive of the first half. The Bengals have 27 yards on 28 plays.
The Colts, meanwhile, have racked up 268 yards of offense, but two costly fumbles (one by each Ahmad Bradshaw and Trent Richardson), terrible pass protection, and a rough half for Andrew Luck and the passing game make for just a ten point lead at the half. With the way the defense has been playing, the Colts should be up more. Believe it or not, the running game has actually been very good for the Colts today, and getting that going and getting Luck in better positions to throw without pressure should help.
There's still a long way to go, but the first half was dominated by the Colts' defense. Here's your open thread for the second half.
