This Sunday the Indianapolis Colts take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and this week's injury report is actually a pretty good one for the Colts in terms of the number of people on it or not practicing. That said, however, there were two prominent Colts who missed practice due to injury yet again today. Let's take a look at the full injury report:
Trent Richardson, RB (hamstring) - did not practice
Reggie Wayne, WR (elbow) - did not practice
Erik Walden, LB (rest) - did not practice
Jack Doyle, TE (knee) - limited practice
Darius Butler, CB (ankle) - full practice
Gosder Cherilus, OL (rest Wednesday) - full practice
Arthur Jones, DL (ankle) - full practice
A few thoughts...
- Darius Butler was limited yesterday and then full today, which is a very good sign for his chances of playing this weekend. He has missed the past two games but looks likely that he will be able to go on Sunday.
- Jack Doyle missed practice yesterday and was limited today. I'm still not entirely sure what the injury is, but as expected he seems to be doing better.
- Reggie Wayne and Trent Richardson both didn't practice today (for the second straight day), causing increased doubt on their status for the game on Sunday. Both are guys who could play after missing a couple of practices the week before, but I don't think the Colts are going to push to get them out there if they're not ready. Both are question marks at this point for the team's game against the Steelers.
