Well… that was an interesting half. The Colts defense was absolutely atrocious. They gave up 35 points (the third highest total in a half in franchise history) and 371 yards. Yet thanks to Andrew Luck, the Colts are still in this one, down 35-20.
Ben Roethlisberger has completed 23 of 27 passes for 320 yards and four touchdowns without a pick, and Antonio Brown has five catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Andrew Luck has completed 14 of 23 passes for 258 yards, two touchdowns and a pick (a pick-six). T.Y. Hilton has caught three passes for 112 yards and a touchdown.
The Colts defense was completely terrible. Their secondary (minus Vontae Davis) has been torched and they have not been able to get any pass rush whatsoever. On the contrary, the Steelers defense has gotten a ton of pressure on Andrew Luck. Give the Colts QB a ton of credit - he's been hit a lot (and often times hit hard) and has made just two bad throws all game. The Colts are on pace for 40 points and Luck is on pace for over 500 yards, but they're still down by 15 points at the half.
While the defense is the major concern, the one thing we know for sure about Andrew Luck is this: never rule the Colts' quarterback out of it. Consider this your open thread for a sure-to-be exciting second half.
