The second of the three weekly injury reports for the Colts was released today, and there was some encouraging news for the Colts on the injury front today - namely that Reggie Wayne returned to practice. They still have one more day of practice, Saturday, before their Monday night matchup. Here's their full injury report for Friday:
Arthur Jones, DT (ankle) - did not practice
Josh McNary, LB (ankle) - did not practice
Erik Walden, LB (quad) - did not practice
Reggie Wayne, WR (elbow/rest Thursday) - full practice
D'Qwell Jackson, LB (toe) - full practice
Ahmad Bradshaw, RB (rest Thursday) - full practice
Vontae Davis, CB (knee) - full practice
A few notes...
- Obviously the big news from today's report is that wide receiver Reggie Wayne returned to practice for the first time since injuring his elbow in the team's week seven game against the Bengals. Wayne sat out of practice yesterday, but Chuck Pagano said it was for rest reasons and not because of his elbow. Even still, however, Pagano wouldn't commit to Wayne playing Monday night. Reggie practicing today is obviously encouraging news, and if I had to guess I think he will play against the Giants.
- Arthur Jones was out for the second straight day, as were Josh McNary and Erik Walden. At this point, McNary is the only player I could see playing on Monday night, but even with him it seems like he probably won't. Jones didn't look healthy last Sunday and he seems to still be dealing with the ankle injury, and then Pagano labeled Walden as week-to-week - an indication that he almost certainly will miss some time.
- Vontae Davis was a full participant for the second straight day.
- D'Qwell Jackson returned to practice today after missing yesterday with a toe injury.
