It's halftime, and it could be worse. Much worse. The Patriots lead the Colts 14-10 from Lucas Oil Stadium after an incredibly stupid late interception thrown by Tom Brady led to an Andrew Luck touchdown pass to Hakeem Nicks in the final minute.
Brady has played terribly so far, throwing two picks to Mike Adams, but luckily for the Patriots their run game has been completely dominating. The Colts' defense has been pushed around easily and New England rushed for 141 yards in the first half (compared to the Colts' 14). Jonas Gray rushed 14 times for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns - and I have a feeling he isn't done yet.
Andrew Luck had a solid half, completing 13 of 19 passes for 173 yards with a touchdown and a pick on a deflected pass, but the offense hasn't been able to get many points up on the board. They'll need to step it up and capitalize on their opportunities in the second half if they hope to come back in this one. Oh, and like normal, the special teams have been fantastic for Indianapolis.
The Colts are in no way out of this one. But they need to do better against the run and they need to capitalize and score touchdowns. It should make for a fun second half, and the Colts are definitely right back in this thanks to a huge turn of events at the end of the first half.
Here's your open thread for the second half, and as always, Go Colts!
