Open Thread for Thanksgiving Day Games

New, comments

Here's an open thread for you to discuss the Thanksgiving day games if you so desire.

David Manning-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Thanksgiving, Colts Nation!  We want to wish you a very happy holiday and hope that you are able to enjoy it with loved ones.  Don't let football get in the way of family and friends this Thanksgiving - but at the same time, let's acknowledge that there is football on television today and it should be a great slate of games.

12:30 p.m. ET

Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (CBS)

In a divisional matchup, the 5-6 Bears take on the 7-4 Lions in the early Thanksgiving Day game.  The Bears have an offense capable of putting up a lot of points, and the Lions have one of the league's best defenses.  This one should be a good battle between two NFC North rivals.

4:30 p.m. ET

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (FOX)

Two 8-3 teams squaring off on Thanksgiving Day?  What more could you ask for?  The Eagles and the Cowboys have been two of the best teams in the NFC this season and they meet in what could be a pivotal matchup in the battle for the NFC East.  The winner of this game takes over the driver's seat in the division.

8:30 p.m. ET

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (NBC)

This one is a huge game in the NFC playoff race, as both of the teams are battling for a wild card spot in the NFC playoffs.  The Seahawks and 49ers are both a couple of games behind the Cardinals for the NFC West lead, but there is a lot riding on this game for each team's playoff hopes.

If you're watching the games today, consider this an open thread where you can discuss what's going on.  Happy Thanksgiving, and enjoy the day with family, friends, food, and some great football games too.
