While the focus tonight and this week will be on the upcoming playoff game (and obviously and rightly so), the Colts' opponents for the 2015 season have officially been finalized with the game tonight determining the AFC North champion. Here are the Colts' home and away opponents for next season (the actual schedule will be released in a couple of months):
HOME | AWAY |
Houston Texans | Houston Texans |
Jacksonville Jaguars | Jacksonville Jaguars |
Tennessee Titans |
Tennessee Titans |
Denver Broncos | Buffalo Bills |
New England Patriots | Miami Dolphins |
New York Jets | Atlanta Falcons |
New Orleans Saints | Carolina Panthers |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Pittsburgh Steelers |
So, in addition to playing the other three AFC South teams both at home and on the road, the Colts will face the AFC East and NFC South divisions. They'll also face the team who finishes in the same place in their divisions as Indy from both the AFC West and the AFC North. So in other words, since the Colts finished first in the AFC South they will face the winners of both other divisions too - meaning the Broncos and the Steelers. The home schedule is pretty notable, as the Colts will host the Broncos (Peyton Manning), Patriots (Tom Brady), and Saints (Drew Brees).
While the focus is rightly on the playoffs right now, the opponents for the 2015 season for the Colts have now been finalized as the 2014 regular season comes to an end.
