Colts G.M. Ryan Grigson on signing Jackson: 'He's team first'

Grigson: "He is a team-first guy."

The Indianapolis Colts have kicked off the free agent spending period early by inking recently-released linebacker D'Qwell Jackson to a 4-year, $22 million deal with $11 million guaranteed.

Colts general manager Ryan Grigson had this to say about the signing, via Mike Chappell:

Jackson had also visited the Broncos, Titans, and Dolphins before deciding to sign with the Colts. In Jackson's seven years with the Browns, he had 527 solo tackles, 11.5 sacks, and 8 interceptions.

The Colts were able to sign him because the Browns had released Jackson prior to the start of the new league year.
