Back in March, Middle Tennessee State held it's Pro Day, and defensive back Sammy Seamster and offensive lineman Josh Walker were two of their best prospects entering the NFL Draft. Per The Daily News Journal, Walker is scheduled to have a private, pre-draft workout with the Indianapolis Colts.
Walker is an interior lineman who can play at around 333 lbs. The DNJ describes his abilities:
Walker, an offensive lineman from Rhea County, measured 6-5 1/2 and 320 pounds, and he ran a 5.17-second 40. His height and nimble footwork might push him from an interior offensive lineman to tackle.
Walker's workout is scheduled for April 7th.
Despite being a former NFL offensive lineman himself, Colts G.M. Ryan Grigson's efforts to improve the Colts woeful offensive line have not played out well. He overpaid for the consistently terrible Samson Satele in 2012, and his 2013 third round pick, Illinois guard Hugh Thornton, struggled mightily last season filling in for Donald Thomas. Free agent Mike McGlynn also played poorly at right guard both in 2012 and 2013.
Andrew Luck has been sacked 73 times in two seasons.Walker is a 333 lbs lineman from Middle Tennessee State.
