It's Saturday, but we still have a Colts injury report to cover! With the team playing Monday night, the injury report in which each player's status for the game is reported is being released on Saturday. Let's take a look at the injury report:
OUT:
Jerrell Freeman, ILB (hamstring) - did not practice
Joe Reitz, OL (ankle) - did not practice
QUESTIONABLE:
Josh Chapman, NT (ankle) - full practice
Arthur Jones, DE (shoulder) - limited practice
Khaled Holmes, C (ankle) - limited practice
PROBABLE:
Greg Toler, CB (ribs) - full practice
Sergio Brown, S (shoulder) - full practice
OTHER (THEY'RE FOR SURE PLAYING):
Reggie Wayne, WR (rest day Thursday) - full practice
Ahmad Bradshaw, RB (rest day Thursday - was limited) - full practice
A few thoughts...
- Obviously, the big news is that Jerrell Freeman is out for Monday night's game. For more information on the Freeman injury and how it impacts the team, read this.
- No surprise that Joe Reitz is out. He's still recovering from his high ankle sprain.
- Two-thirds of the Colts defensive line is questionable. The progress that Josh Chapman has made this week is encouraging (didn't practice Thursday, was limited Friday, and then was a full participant today) and if I had to guess I think he'll play, but he's still listed as questionable. Arthur Jones will be a game time decision, and today he practiced for the first time this week (though limited). And then Khaled Holmes is once again questionable for the second week in a row. I think the best chance of playing among this group is Josh Chapman, and I still don't think Holmes will return (it'll probably be A.Q. Shipley again). I'm not sure about Jones' status, but he'll be a game-time decision.
- Sounds good regarding Greg Toler and Sergio Brown. Both should help the team this week.
