We had plenty of preseason depth charts, but for the first time with the 53-man roster, let's take a look at the Colts depth chart:
Offense:
QB: Andrew Luck, Matt Hasselbeck
WR: Reggie Wayne, Hakeem Nicks, Da'Rick Rogers
LT: Anthony Castonzo, Joe Reitz
LG: Jack Mewhort
C: Khaled Holmes, Jonotthan Harrison, A.Q. Shipley
RG: Hugh Thornton, Lance Louis
RT: Gosder Cherilus, Xavier Nixon
TE: Dwayne Allen, Coby Fleener, Jack Doyle
WR: T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief, Griff Whalen
FB: Mario Harvey
RB: Trent Richardson, Ahmad Bradshaw, Dan Heron, Zurlon Tipton
Defense:
DE: Cory Redding, Ricky Jean Francois
NT: Josh Chapman, Montori Hughes
DT: Arthur Jones, Zach Kerr
OLB: Erik Walden, Jonathan Newsome, Andy Studebaker
ILB: D'Qwell Jackson, Henoc Muamba
ILB: Jerrell Freeman, Josh McNary
OLB: Bjoern Werner, Cam Johnson
LCB: Greg Toler, Josh Gordy, Loucheiz Purifoy
SS: Mike Adams, Colt Anderson

Special Teams:
P: Pat McAfee
K: Adam Vinatieri
H: Pat McAfee, Griff Whalen
LS: Matt Overton
KR: Dan Herron, Donte Moncrief
PR: Loucheiz Purifoy, Griff Whalen
There really aren't any surprises here, which is to be expected. Also, there aren't really any changes from the preseason and camp one, only less players. It is interesting to note the returners - Dan Herron at kick returner and then Loucheiz Purifoy at punt returner. We'll see how often the Colts change that up, but I don't mind either of them.
Overall, it's obvious from looking at this depth chart that this actually looks like a really great team on paper. Of course, that's without injuries and anticipating that everyone plays as well as we know they can. Neither of those will happen, but I think it's an encouraging depth chart for Colts fans. As long as they're healthy. And as long as Andrew Luck is the starting quarterback.
What are your thoughts on the initial regular season depth chart for the Colts?
