The Colts haven't had a lot of luck with ankle injuries recently. On last week's injury report, four guys were listed with ankle injuries, including Khaled Holmes, Joe Reitz, and Arthur Jones - all of whom are at various stages in the recovery process from a high ankle sprain. Those injuries sideline players for at least a couple of weeks.
So yesterday, when T.Y. Hilton left the game with an ankle injury, there was understandably some fans concerned. But you can relax, Colts fans - Chuck Pagano said today that Hilton's injury is "not that bad."
"He may be a little bit limited," Pagano said, "maybe Wednesday I don't know, maybe one day. But he was in today. He's doing pretty good."
Despite playing only 46% of the team's offensive snaps due to the injury, Hilton still caught 5 passes and led all receivers with 80 yards. In other words, he was a big factor on Sunday for the Colts. We all know how talented Hilton is and we all know that he is a very dangerous receiver, but we really haven't seen a ton from him this year. That said, it would be a huge loss for the team to lose Hilton, so it's really good news that his injury isn't serious.
Additionally, linebacker Andy Studebaker left Sunday's game with a hamstring injury, but his injury isn't serious either. Pagano said that he will be day-to-day.
The injury news makes a huge Colts win even better - they escaped about as healthy as you could be after playing a 60-minute game, only having two injuries that aren't serious.
