2015 NFL Playoffs: Colts Lead Broncos 14-10 at Halftime

The Indianapolis Colts go into halftime leading the Denver Broncos 14-10 in a very encouraging first half.

If you're the Colts, you've got to be happy with the first half of this afternoon's Divisional Round game against the Broncos.  They go into halftime leading the Broncos 14-10 in Denver.

A touchdown run from Boom Herron and a touchdown pass from Luck to Dwayne Allen have led to the scoring for the Colts offense, and it was a very good half overall from Luck and the offense.  Luck has played phenomenal and his offensive line has given him plenty of protection, plus T.Y. Hilton has been owning Aqib Talib.  The defense was equally as impressive, as they held the Broncos to just ten points.  A strip sack by Jonathan Newsome that the Colts recovered was a huge game changer in the first half.

The Broncos got a field goal before the half ended (off the Luck interception-punt) and Adam Vinatieri had a rare miss, so this game could have been a bigger lead for the Colts than it is.  We'll have to see if that comes back to hurt them, as the Broncos get the ball to start the second half.  We'll also have to monitor the injury situation, particularly to Vontae Davis, who was injured right before the half.  The Colts defense absolutely needs him out there.

All in all, there was a lot to be encouraged by in the first half by the Colts.  And they're 30 minutes away from a trip to the AFC Championship game, but I have a feeling Peyton Manning isn't done yet.  It'll take a great second half from the Colts to pull this one out, but the first half was encouraging.

Here's your open thread for the second half of the game.
