2015 NFL Playoff: Patriots Lead Colts 17-7 at Halftime of AFC Championship Game

Here's your open thread for the second half of the AFC Championship game between the Colts and the Patriots.

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

The Colts did a lot to beat themselves in the first half.  So considering that, it could be a lot worse.  The Patriots lead the Colts 17-7 at halftime, and the Colts are still in the game.

The pivotal point of the first half came as the Patriots were driving trying to go up three scores, but D'Qwell Jackson intercepted Tom Brady at the goal line and the Colts then mounted a ten-play, 93-yard drive to score a touchdown and get back in the game.

It was also big for the Colts to force the Patriots to kick a field goal at the end of the half rather than let them get a touchdown.  It will be a big drive to open the second half, as the Patriots get the ball.

The Colts had a mistake-filled half: a muffed punt, a couple of drops (a few big ones by Boom Herron), penalties, and more added up to a sloppy performance.  But the Colts are still in the game, and so it could be a lot worse.  But they face a tough task in the second half, especially as heavy rain approaches Foxborough.  But the Colts aren't out of it yet, and as we saw in the first game this afternoon, the game is never over until it's over.

Here's your open thread for the second half, and as always, Go Colts!
