Last year the NFL went to a fantasy football style draft for the Pro Bowl, and that meant that the game was unconferenced. While before the Pro Bowl would pit the AFC versus the NFC, last year the change was made to have two teams that combined the conferences. In 2013, we saw Robert Mathis chasing down his teammate Andrew Luck. This year, we might see an even more intense battle between Colts teammates, at least if the pre-game trash talk is any indication.
Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton and cornerback Vontae Davis were among the best at their respective positions this season, earning both a spot in the Pro Bowl. Of course, on Wednesday night Hilton was drafted by Team Carter (Cris Carter), joining his quarterback. Davis was drafted by Team Irvin (Michael Irvin), joining his defensive teammates in linebacker D'Qwell Jackson and safety Mike Adams (and kickers Pat McAfee and Adam Vinatieri are split between the teams).
The matchup Colts fans are anxious to see is Davis on Hilton. And the two players have been talking some trash with each other leading up to the game.

"It was fun talking smack with him for a little bit," Hilton said, per NFL.com's Kevin Patra. "We finally get to play on different teams and just go at it."
Hilton wasn't the only one engaging in the trash talk, however. "I need that guy for the season," Vontae Davis said of Hilton. "But when I do go head-to-head it's going to be a battle." And Davis was very confident in his abilities to shut down Hilton: "of course," he responded when asked about it.
Hilton is paired up with his quarterback Andrew Luck, and the two share great chemistry. Hilton is certain that chemistry is going to help them on Sunday. "Absolutely the chemistry is there, we know to get after Vontae," he said.
Vontae Davis isn't convinced of that, however, saying that, "I practice against Luck too, so I know Luck's tendencies."
There's nothing like some trash talking at the Pro Bowl between two teammates (all in good fun, of course), and with the unconferenced format of the Pro Bowl teammates will actually square off against each other on Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. in Arizona. And that very well might mean Vontae Davis versus T.Y. Hilton.
