It has been a rough couple of weeks for the Colts off-the-field. The latest incident was reported by FOX59 earlier this morning: Colts linebacker Andrew Jackson was arrested for DUI in Kentucky on Friday morning. Jail officials told FOX59 that Jackson was arrested for careless driving and DUI. Jackson was arrested shortly before 5:00 a.m. and released at 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Jackson was a rookie linebacker for the Colts this season after being their sixth round draft pick last year out of Western Kentucky. He played in 13 games and all three playoff games, spending most of his time on special teams but also being used some at linebacker or at fullback. In the 16 games total, Jackson recorded 13 tackles and a sack.
It's been a very rough eleven-day span for the Colts. First, the team found out last Wednesday that formal rape charges had been filed against linebacker Josh McNary. Then lineman Xavier Nixon missed the flight to the AFC Championship game and running back Trent Richardson was suspended two games by the team. On Sunday, the Colts lost 45-7 on national television in the conference title game. Now, linebacker Andrew Jackson was arrested for a DUI in Kentucky. Not exactly the way the Colts wanted to start 2015, that's for sure.
