2015 NFL Winning Stats Predictor Picks: Week 12

Each week we'll predict each game using the Winning Stats, as well as make picks as if we're competing in the Las Vegas SuperContest.

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The wild swings of the last two weeks calmed down in Week 11, as we had a slightly below-average week picking games Against the Spread, going 6-7-1, bringing our season record to right at 50%, 77-77-6. Several games came down to the wire, with the Bears, Titans, and Rams all losing covers in the final seconds. One of those weekends that was really promising that fell just short. Picking winners did get better last week, going 9-5, bringing our season total to 94-66.

SuperContest picks went 3-2, bringing our season total to 32-23, so we're still doing pretty good at the top end of our picks. We're back to having 16 games for the rest of the year, so let's hope we get some easy winners each week.

  • Panthers +1.5 at Cowboys
This appears to be the ultimate Pros vs. Joe's pick here, and I'm siding with the Joe's this week. Even if we account for 5-6 points for Tony Romo, I still think the Panthers get it done today, moving to 11-0.
  • Buccaneers +3.5 at Colts
I'll have a full preview tomorrow, but you can see from this how I think the game will go. Tampa Bay, much like Carolina, is getting very little respect from Vegas yet again, even after thrashing the Eagles last weekend. I'll take the 3.5 points, but I'll leave you in suspense on who I think will win.
  • Redskins +3 vs. Giants
My last 3 are home underdogs getting too many points. We'll start in Washington, where the Redskins got smoked by the Panthers last week, the Giants are coming off a bye week, and honestly this is a huge game for the NFC East title. I'll take the points with the home team.
  • Titans +1.5 vs. Raiders
After two straight weeks losing with the Raiders I'm not going against them against the Titans in Nashville. The Titans have been so close numerous times, I think this is the week they break through.
  • Broncos +3 vs. Patriots
I think the Broncos Defense got a good lesson on how to slow down the Patriots Offense Monday night thanks to the Bills, and I think they'll be extra-motivated Sunday night. Think it'll be low scoring, but the Broncos will score enough to cover.
