The (potential) injury situation of Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has certainly been receiving a lot of attention recently, but perhaps he's not the only Colt dealing with an injury.  Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton underwent an MRI this week for a foot injury, according to FOX59's Mike Chappell.

The Colts return to the practice field later today, after which head coach Chuck Pagano will speak, so we hopefully will know more by the end of the day.  But losing Hilton for any length of time would not be good news for a struggling offense and a struggling quarterback, especially since the receiving position has been underwhelming.  Hilton hasn't been great, but he has still caught 38 passes for 621 yards and three scores, adding nine receptions of 20+ yards.  He leads the team in receptions, receiving yards, yards per catch (for any player with more than one reception), 20+ yard receptions, yards after the catch, and receiving first downs - all while being targeted 20 more times than any other Colt.  In short, he still is very important to the offense.  With Phillip Dorsett already out for another month or so, the absence of Hilton (even for just one game) would mean that it would be up to Donte Moncrief, Andre Johnson, and Griff Whalen to handle the receiving duties (which could result in the tight ends being utilized more, too).

Hilton suffered a knee injury in the Colts' week one loss to the Bills and was questionable for the following week, but he played against the Jets, though since then many have wondered whether he has still been hampered by the injury.  Hilton has also been listed on the injury report with a groin injury at one point this season, but he has yet to miss a game.

Hopefully, Hilton is fine and the MRI was just a precautionary measure, because this Colts team really can't afford an injury to their top wideout.  But with the bye week coming after this Sunday, that could be a factor as well if the Colts want to get Hilton extra rest.  Regardless, this is a situation to keep an eye on and we'll hopefully find out more later today.
