This Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts (6-8) will face the Miami Dolphins (5-9) in a week 16 game that the Colts absolutely have to win in order to keep their very slim playoff hopes alive.
The Colts will need help, too, as they need the Texans to also lose, but the most important part of the equation and the only one the Colts can now control is winning their own games. They have to win their final two, and the good news is that they are definitely winnable games against two teams with worse records than the Colts have. It won't be easy, though, as we've seen in the past few weeks that the Colts have been playing really awful football (especially offensively) recently.
The Colts and Dolphins have played a lot in their history due to the fact that they used to play in the same division, and Miami holds a 45-25 advantage all-time over the Colts, including a 23-11 advantage in Miami. The Colts, however, were on a five game winning streak over the Dolphins until their last meeting, in 2013, when the Dolphins won in Indy 24-20. The two teams have met twice in the Chuck Pagano era, with both teams winning one game (Pagano wasn't on the sidelines for the first one in 2012, however, as it was interim head coach Bruce Arians).
It's a huge game for the Colts if they want to keep any shot at the playoffs alive, so here's all of your need-to-know information as we get ready for the game:
