The first half of tonight's Sunday Night Football game between the Colts and the Steelers certainly wasn't lacking in drama, as plenty of turnovers marred the half. Ultimately, the Steelers scored a couple of second quarter touchdowns to take a 21-10 halftime lead on the Colts.
The opening kickoff was fumbled by the Steelers and recovered by the Colts, but Matt Hasselbeck then gave it right back a few plays later with an interception. Later, DeAngelo Williams fumbled, and a little later in the half Hasselbeck threw another interception. The Steelers even fumbled again later in the second quarter, but they recovered despite the Colts getting plenty of chances. It was a relatively ugly first half, particularly for Hasselbeck and the Colts' offense.
Adam Vinatieri gave them a field goal and Hasselbeck found Frank Gore for a touchdown (thanks to great protection by the offensive line) for the Colts' only points, but it's hard to have the struggles that the Colts did and keep up with an offense led by Ben Roethlisberger. He caught fire in the second quarter and made several absolutely perfect passes, throwing two scores. If the Colts can't get any pass rush on him in the second half, things likely won't get much better, either.
Here's your open thread for the second half of tonight's game.
