The Indianapolis Colts had former Eagles pass rusher Trent Cole in for a visit on Monday, and true to Ryan Grigson's form it sounds like he's not letting him leave without a deal.  According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Trent Cole will be signing with the Indianapolis Colts.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>The <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Colts?src=hash">#Colts</a> are signing pass-rusher Trent Cole</p>&mdash; Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/575329126116159488">March 10, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Grigson is familiar with Cole from the time they both spent in Philadelphia together, and the Colts really need pass rush help, which this move addresses.  In ten seasons with the Eagles, he played in 155 games (starting 145) and notched 569 tackles, 85.5 sacks, 14 passes defensed, an interception (returned for a touchdown), and 19 forced fumbles.  He is a two-time Pro Bowler.

The 6-3, 270 pound defender will likely play outside linebacker in the Colts' 3-4 defense, but he's better in a 4-3.  Either way, he should provide the team with help at one of their most critical needs.
