The Indianapolis Colts made quite a splash in free agency earlier this week, most notably adding veteran running back Frank Gore and wide receiver Andre Johnson - both of whom should help the Colts significantly in 2015.
They both have something else in common, however - they both attended the University of Miami in college. In fact, many are calling the Colts' offseason this year the "reUnion," as Gore and Johnson are teaming up in Indy to play for Chuck Pagano (who coached at Miami in 1986 and 1995-2000) and Rob Chudzinski (who was at Miami from 1994-2003). Could another former Miami player be joining them, however?
If it's up to Frank Gore, the answer would be yes. He took to Instagram yesterday to recruit veteran defensive lineman Vince Wilfork, who was at Miami with Gore from 2001-2003.

Wilfork parted ways after eleven years with the Patriots. During his time in New England, he recorded 516 tackles, 16 sacks, four forced fumbles, 12 fumble recoveries, three interceptions, and 25 passes defensed. He is a five-time Pro Bowler, a first-team All-Pro in 2012, and a four-time second-team All-Pro. Wilfork won a Super Bowl in his first and (likely) last seasons with the Patriots, as the Patriots did not pick up his $8.9 million option this offseason.
Wilfork reportedly has three 2-year, $10 million offers from AFC teams on the table at the moment, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel's Omar Kelly:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>I'm told former UM standout Vince Wilfork has three 2-for $10M deals on the table from AFC teams. Should be interesting.</p>— Omar Kelly (@OmarKelly) <a href="https://twitter.com/OmarKelly/status/576016156718473216">March 12, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Wilfork is considering four teams, including the Patriots and Texans. He would certainly help the Colts along the defensive line, and Frank Gore isn't the only Colts player taking to social media recruiting Wilfork. As you might have guessed, punter Pat McAfee is as well.
