The NFL Draft continues to get closer and closer, and as such the number of mock drafts will likely just continue to increase over the next few weeks. One mock draft that we've been tracking every week is that from Mocking the Draft's Dan Kadar, and with it being Monday that means that Kadar has a new mock draft out this week.
In the first round of his most recent mock, Kadar has the Colts taking Oregon defensive end Arik Armstead.
29. Indianapolis Colts: Arik Armstead, DE, Oregon
Armstead might not be the nose tackle the Colts need, but he's an incredible athlete for a defensive lineman and has enormous developmental potential. He would be a nice replacement for players like Arthur Jones and Kendall Langford up front.
In the second round, Kadar has the Colts taking Oklahoma offensive tackle Daryl Williams.
61. Indianapolis Colts: Daryl Williams, OT, Oklahoma
The Colts need to find an upgrade over Gosder Cherilus. Williams is a natural right tackle and plays with a lot of power and aggression.
For the last several weeks Kadar has projected the Colts taking Alabama safety Landon Collins in the first round, but in today's mock draft he has Collins being selected by the Bengals with the 21st overall pick. That means the Colts would need to go elsewhere, so Kadar has them taking another player who has been projected to the Colts quite a bit in Armstead.
He's a talented guy with a ton of potential, but he's still pretty raw and needs work. Any team that drafts him will be banking on his potential, which could cause some concern from fans over the nature of him as a potential "boom or bust" candidate. He would provide a nice boost to the team's defensive line, however, and that's an area that they certainly could use help at.
What are your thoughts on this two round mock draft?
