Colts 2015 Training Camp Schedule Announced

The Indianapolis Colts announced last week their 2015 training camp schedule for their time at Anderson University.

It's June (almost July) and right in the middle of the one true dead period of the NFL year.  From the time minicamps broke earlier this month (for the Colts, it was June 11) to the time that training camps start later this summer (for the Colts, it will be August 1), there's really nothing much going on.

Colts players are spending the time away from the team with their families and staying in shape, and a number of them are getting married as well, but in a month they will be reporting to Anderson University for training camp.  Yes, that's right Colts fans - only one more month of waiting until things really start picking up toward the 2015 season.

Last week, the Colts announced their full schedule for their two weeks at Anderson for camp.  The team will report on August 1, with their first practice coming on August 2, with camp being a bit later this year due to the start of the regular season being a bit later this year as well (the Colts open the regular season on September 13).  Furthermore, their time at Anderson will be shortened to just two weeks this year due to the fact that the Colts will hold joint practices with the Chicago Bears on the Wednesday and Thursday (August 19 and 20) before their preseason game.  Those practices will be held at the Colts' West 56th Street facility in Indianapolis and will be closed to the fans.

The team's practices during their two week training camp at Anderson University, however, will be open to the public and will be a great time for fans to get an early look at the 2015 version of the Colts.  Colts City, a fan experience at training camp, will be open each day from 12:30-5:00 (except for the day of the night practice, where Colts City will be open from 5:00-9:30).  Here's the schedule for the open practices at Anderson (all times eastern):

Sunday, August 2 - 1:55 - 4:40 p.m.

Monday, August 3 - 1:55- 4:40 p.m.

Tuesday, August 4 - 1:55-4:40 p.m.

Wednesday, August 5 - 6:25 - 9:10 p.m.

Thursday, August 6 - Players' day off

Friday, August 7 - 1:55 - 4:40 p.m.

Saturday, August 8 - 1:55 - 4:40 p.m.

Sunday, August 9 - 1:55 - 4:40 p.m.

Monday, August 10 - 1:55 - 4:40 p.m.

Tuesday, August 11 - Players' day off

Wednesday, August 12 - 1:55 - 4:40 p.m.

Thursday, August 13 - 1:55 - 4:40 p.m.

Friday, August 14 - 1:55 - 4:40 p.m.

Saturday, August 15 - Break camp

Sunday, August 16 - Preseason game number one at Philadelphia Eagles (1:00 p.m.)

In total, there are eleven practices that will be open to fans, including the ever-popular night practice, which this year will be held on Wednesday, August 5.  This is typically the biggest audience that the Colts have at training camp and is a fun night.

As has been the case for the past two years, Stampede Blue will have complete coverage live from Anderson University for training camp this year, so stay tuned.  There's only one more month to go, and then we'll be in full football mode for the next six months!
